Half Marathon
Course Information
Half Marathon Course Description
The Clyde Classic Half Marathon has it all! Scenic trails, closed country roads, vineyard views, and all the highlights of the 10km course, stretched into one unforgettable loop.
Starting at Clyde Primary School, runners cruise through the historic township and head up toward the Clyde Dam, crossing New Zealand’s largest gravity-fed dam before following the river track back toward town. From there, half marathoners continue along the riverside trail for another 7.5km till a turn around point and you’re soon turning into the vines of Three Miners Vineyard.
Take a moment to soak it in and enjoy a warm welcome from Kirstin and Paul at this one-of-a-kind vineyard aid station, before heading out onto the peaceful Hidden Highway with glorious mountain views. After crossing the iconic Clyde Bridge a short hill, you’re on the home stretch back toward the school.
This is Central Otago running at its best! Scenic, varied and full of character, the kind of course that keeps changing under your feet with every kilometre offering something new.
